Privacy Policy

Pitch Putt YVR ("the App") is a free score-tracking application for pitch & putt golf courses in Vancouver, BC. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we store it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

• Email address — used for account authentication and password resets.
• Display name — optional, shown on scorecards and to playing partners you share rounds with.
• Round scores — course selection, hole-by-hole stroke counts, timestamps, and player names you enter.
• Membership barcode number — optional, stored so you can display your physical membership card digitally.

How We Store Your Data

• All data is stored in Supabase (hosted PostgreSQL on AWS infrastructure, encrypted at rest and in transit).
• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text.
• Authentication tokens are stored locally on your device using secure storage.

Third-Party Services

• Supabase — database and authentication (their privacy policy).
• Apple Sign In / Google Sign In — optional authentication providers. We receive only your email and name from these services.
• Expo / EAS — app build and update delivery (their privacy policy).

What We Do NOT Do

• We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
• We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs.
• We do not display advertisements.
• We do not collect location data.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time using the "Delete account" option in the app menu. This action is irreversible and removes all rounds, scores, and personal information from our servers.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
